The Complete Guide to Title & Abstract Screening
This guide walks you through the entire title and abstract screening process, including setting up criteria, making decisions, and resolving conflicts.
Screening with Precision and Speed
Once your unique set of studies is ready, the screening phase begins. This guide covers the Title and Abstract screening workflow in RevPro.
Step 1: Defining Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria
Before screening, ensure your inclusion and exclusion criteria are clearly defined in the "Protocol" section. These criteria will be visible to reviewers during the screening process to guide their decisions.
Step 2: The Screening Interface
In the "Screening" tab, you will find a clean and intuitive interface. For each study, you can:
- View Title & Abstract: All relevant information is presented clearly.
- Make a Decision: Click "Include", "Exclude", or "Maybe" with a single click.
- Add Notes: Leave comments or tags for your own reference or for your team.
Step 3: Conflict Resolution
If two reviewers disagree on a study, it is automatically flagged as a conflict. Go to the "Conflicts" sub-tab to resolve these discrepancies. The conflict resolution screen shows both reviewers' decisions side-by-side, allowing a third reviewer or project lead to make the final call.
